We're Building Unique Partnerships

In 2025 Oakley partnered with The Coping Festival for the first ever Oakley Community Day in the skate world.

Oakley’s DIY roots naturally align with The Coping Festival’s build-it-together mentality.

Everything we do is focused on collaborations to improve collective wellbeing with C.A.R.E (Connection, Action, Reflection & Education).

We're Fundraising for Charities that Benefit Collective Wellbeing

With £20,000 raised so far, we're creating Stories For Brighter Futures.

Tickets are free to keep all events inclusive. In 2025 we also managed to raise £850 for each of the following charities.St Ann’s Hospice, The Ben Raemer’s Foundation & Live Like Ralph.

All donations help us build this inclusive event & give directly to charity.

Our Method

Using C.A.R.E to grow

Life is gnarly enough, without stories of hate & division. Our C.A.R.E framework helps us rewrite the stories we live by & build brighter futures together. We Connect across our differences, Act despite our fears, Reflect with honesty & kindness, then Educate ourselves to deepen our shared purpose. Our aim is to build a community commited to improving our collective wellbeing by working on themselves first.

The Coping Festival

A free, inclusive & accessible event for the whole community.

It’s a day of creative activities, skateboarding, music, movement and connection. The purpose is to celebrate what a community can do when it comes together for a cause greater than the individuals involved. See some highlights from previous years below.

Move A Mile

2025 Pilot Event.

Celebrating our community, we moved A mile from Salford’s GRIT studios to Graystone Action Sports to kick off The Coping x Oakley Community Day 2025.

The event featured impromptu jams and giveaways and highlighted the great community work happening in Salford, beginning at GRIT Studios and passing by Salford Youth Zone. Those who joined us spoke about the welcoming atmosphere, how good it felt to just get out for a walk or skate with others, and the importance of spaces like GRIT and Salford Youth Zone. Passers by were also invited to join in, with many stopping to chat and watch the skateboarding. The reaction was unanimously positive, despite the rain, with many asking when the next event would be.

Why Join Our Community?

The Coping Festival has always been something we have built together. We have created our community on the Circle app so we can share ideas to bring about more collective wellbeing, not just at the festival but in general. It’s a place to C.A.R.E (Connect, Act, Reflect & Educate).
