MOVE A MILE

GRIT & THE COPING PRESENT

It’s a day of creative activities, skateboarding, music, movement and connection. The purpose is to celebrate what a community can do when it comes together for a cause greater than the individuals involved. See some highlights from previous years below.

Move A Mile

2025 Pilot Event.

Celebrating our community, we moved A mile from Salford’s GRIT studios to Graystone Action Sports to kick off The Coping x Oakley Community Day 2025.

The event featured impromptu jams and giveaways and highlighted the great community work happening in Salford, beginning at GRIT Studios and passing by Salford Youth Zone. Those who joined us spoke about the welcoming atmosphere, how good it felt to just get out for a walk or skate with others, and the importance of spaces like GRIT and Salford Youth Zone. Passers by were also invited to join in, with many stopping to chat and watch the skateboarding. The reaction was unanimously positive, despite the rain, with many asking when the next event would be.

Why Join Our Community?

The Coping Festival has always been something we have built together. We have created our community on the Circle app so we can share ideas to bring about more collective wellbeing, not just at the festival but in general. It’s a place to C.A.R.E (Connect, Act, Reflect & Educate).
